Envisaged as part of our outreach programme, Sai Diabetic Club is a support group network for diabetics, who get the benefit of special health check packages, concessions for consultation and investigations, counselling sessions, and educational workshops. All registered members are given photo identity cards that entitle them for special privileges.
Diabetic awareness camps are conducted regularly by the Club.
Diabetes can damage the nerves, kidneys, eyes and blood vessels, and decrease body’s ability to fight infection. When diabetes is not well-controlled, damage to the organs and impairment of the nerve system is likely. Foot problems can develop and quickly become serious. Diabetic footwear is one of Sai Hospital specialties.
